NOSE & PALATE
A balanced and multi-faceted aroma of toasted barrels and tropical fruit. The whisky has notes of vanilla, honeydew melon, pineapple, mango and tangerine zest, but also roasted nuts that give the impression of orange chocolate and marzipan.
On the palate, there are clear tannins and a portion of smoke that gives body to the whisky and makes you think of a box of the finest cigars from Havana. Long finish in the mouth with flavours of ripe sweet and sour fruit and toasted bread, chocolate and leather.
MATURATION
Sweet Toast is a really fun product that challenges the way we make whisky. We have used new American oak barrels that are toasted in a way that emphasises the sweetness of the wood, a so-called sweet toast. We've also blended in barrels of Sauternes wine, a French dessert wine that adds soft sweetness. A perfect combination with the sweet toast barrels.
