After SamuelWhisky No1, Samuel felt it was time for something completely new. On a special day in February 2019, Samuel and some colleagues emptied a container full of 200 casks. One of these casks had previously stored the smoky whisky. The cask was filled with our own heavily smoky raw spirit, distilled in our Low Reflux boilers to give a deep and intense smokiness. When we blended this spirit with medium smoky whisky from a bourbon cask in August 2023, we chose to filter it minimally and bottle it at its natural strength of 58.7%.

The aroma of this whisky is like stepping into a forest of malt sweetness and saltiness, with a subtle hint of almond cake sweeping by.
